Diarrhea: Acute diarrhea is usually one of several viruses causing gastroenteritis. If there is blood in it, abdominal pain worsens, or you are unable to hold down liquids, please be seen in the urgent care or ER. Otherwise, drink plenty of fluids and rest. If mild nausea is a problem, try sports drinks with electrolytes, sodium and potassium, along with water, flat sprite or 7up and chicken broth.
