A few possibilities: Spasm of neck muscle, malfunctioning vertebrae, migraine, inflamed cervical/occipital nerves, mastoid infection, etc. A good history & physical exam, incl osteopathic hands-on exam may find the cause. Don't hesitate to get help.Most of the causes are benign, but infection could be serious.
