Please see Dr.: If you have a sore throat, even on one side, you need to see the Dr. and get a strep test. You don't want to risk missing strep, as untreated strep can lead to rheumatic fever (which can leave you with heart and kidney damage).

Time sensitive: If your pain is worsening I would recommend seeing your physician to get a detailed history of recent events and your doctor may need to look at the area or refer to ENT doctor.
