Does kindling really exist to cause seizures?

First comes a spark: Kindling is to epilepsy what a breeze is to a newly lit fire. Because seizures are basically electrical brushfires in the brain, certain stimuli (often simply more seizures) provoke bigger and badder seizures. Seizures beget seizures. For best control, get early control--before things are out of control, like a forest fire.
