No need for cold: compresses or a cold or alcohol bath. The fever is there as a sign that her body is fighting an infection. If your daughter is not uncomfortable, you do not need to dress her any special way or cover her any special way. If she's resting in bed, a light blanket is fine. If she feels cold, you can add another layer. You can also give her acetaminophen or ibuprofen for the fever.

Cold compress: Always use cold compresses to break a fever. Warm blanket gives temporary relief from chills, but always raises the temperature eventually, and even cause dehydration from sweating.
