I have bronchitis and was originally taking amoxicllin clavulante.switched to levaquin (levofloxacin) but horrible side effects. can i stop levaquin (levofloxacin) and restart amox?

Probably, but see MD: There may have been a reason for the antibiotic switch but both antibiotics are effective for many of the bacteria responsible for bronchitis/
