Is it normal to start a fever after you start antibiotics? there was no fever when the antibiotics were prescribed.

Depends...: It usually takes antibiotics 24 to 48 hours to start actually working on the infection. If this has been the time frame you have been taking them for this could be related to the infection itself. If you have been taking them for more than 2 days then you might need a different antibiotic. I would suggest to keep taking them and if after 2 days the fever continues see your doctor again.
