Pump : The only easy ways are 1. Pump breastmilk and then feed through a bottle to see what the infant's capacity for a particular feeding would be. 2. Otherwise, if you have a good scale, you could weigh the infant before and then weigh the infant after and convert the difference in dry weight in kg to liquid weight in mL.

Why ???: If the baby makes pee every 4-6 hours and seems to be growing, there is no need to focus on amounts.Pumping is never as good as baby in extracting milk from the breast. Your doc's office will likely be willing to let you weigh baby weekly if you are concerned (I always did).
