Ask: Request an explanation. A mistaken diagnosis can follow you indefinitely. You've got a history of depression and somebody may have jumped to a conclusion about you. With the emphasis on "identifying possible drug users" and the goofy idea that "if you say you are not an addict, then you are", this may be a propagated error. Set the record straight with your physician. It's your basic right.
