16 weeks ago i had bad burning pain in my lungs from a long draw of marijuana for 1-2 hrs whats the chance of permanent damage? what should i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Quit smoking now!: Studies have shown that the effects of cannabis on the lungs are different than that of tobacco, but there is documentation that long term use causes some irritation to the large bronchial tubes, increases the airflow resistance and causes hyperinflation and is more likely to give a bronchitis like picture. The quicker you stop, the less likely to cause permanent damage.
