Hiatal hernia: Look up your question on the internet. To my surprise one of the articles says that after age 50, by age 60 about 60% have the hernia. Go to Healthline Topics on the Internet. If you personally have the hernia at age 18 you need to see a doctor for advice because it is unlikely to just go away.
