Many causes of this: There are many causes of abnormal vaginal bleeding. Most of the time it's just temporary fluctuations in hormones, Pregnancy should be ruled out with a urine test if symptoms persist. If that's negative and bleeding remains abnormal, then other testing for hormonal abnormalities (like thyroid) should be done.
