Vague Symptom: A "gross" taste can be caused by many factors, including acid reflux, your diet, sinusitis, rotten teeth, and gum disease, just to name a few. If it's been more than six months since your last dental checkup and cleaning, you can start by calling a local dentist for an appointment. Get your mouth cleaned and restored, and follow up with your physician if the problem persists.

Dysgeusia: is a change in your sense of taste due to a variety of causes; from anxiety to dental problems and treatments. Dysgeusia is not very common. Severe long-standing dysgeusia can be very significant as it may lead to patient losing interest in food. See your PCP for consultation, tests and referral if needed.
