I do NOT KNOW, BUT..: Having your hand be numb and painful is not normal, and could be caused by many issues including but not limited to a nerve impingement injury causing those symptoms, so you need to see a Dr. to get it evaluated and diagnosed so the appropriate treatment can occur.
