Small cell Lung ca: Smoking tobacco significantly increases the risk of small cell carcinoma. Some hypothesize the impact of carcinogenic smoke on the central airways may be the primary mechanism of injury. The earlier in life a person starts smoking, the more often a person smokes, and the more years a person smokes, the greater the risk of lung cancer.
