FDA Approval - 1967: Haloperidol was first approved by us food and drug administration (fda) on april 12, 1967. It was marketed under the brand name Haldol (haloperidol) by mcneil laboratories. It is now available in generic form and is used to treat schizophrenia.

Haloperidol: Agree with Dr. Woods. Haloperidol was developed in 1958 & was approved in Belgium in 1959. It was approved by FDA (USA) on 12 April 1967
