A member asked:

Why does blood pressure decrease when a person holds their breath?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Breath holding: Often when you hold your breath you cause the return flow of blood to the heart to decrease because of increased pressure in the chest. This will cause the stroke volume to decreae and blood pressure to drop
