Hormones: Some women are more sensitive to the hormone changes during their cycles and the impact of those chemicals on all body systems can be experienced to extremes that may be uncomfortable. It's not dangerous and can vary from none to lots even in one person. Suffering is partly psychological and that part can be managed w/ skills+knowledge. The rest hurts a bit.
