Variable: Needles may be inserted in many different places. In auricular acupuncture - tiny needles are inserted in the ears. In local treatments - the needles may be inserted in the skin in the area affected. When using energy moving acupuncture - they may be placed in specific acupuncture points (placement is correct when Qi is felt).
