When you go and get an eye exam, does the optician work to give you 20/20 vision?

Not really: opticians don't do the work to get you 20/20 vision. They fit and sell glasses. Ophthalmologists (who are MDs) and optometrists (who are not MDs) are the ones who work to get the best prescription for the best possible glasses.
