A member asked:

When i was 2 years old i had to get tubes in my ears. can i still join the coast guard?

Likely: Having tubes as a toddler is common and has no long term impact on a kids health (or hearing). As such, I can see no way it would exclude anyone from military service by itself. That said, you could have other issues on exam that would disqualify you.
