A member asked:

When do you need stitches in place of a perineoplasty?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A perineoplasty: is an operation performed to narrow or "tighten" the entrance to the vagina. It is most often performed using stitches -- although some people are using lasers as part of the procedure. The most common reason women choose to have this operation is if the entrance to the vaginal has been stretched too much - usually by childbirth. I hope this helps
