Anytime: Citalopram can occasionally cause sleeplessness, but if you stop taking it generally within a few days, as it has a half life of 37 hours, you should be able to sleep OK, unless you were taking it for insomnia. If the insomnia is still present, it is untreated and you should consider a consultation for treatment.
