See below: Apo-prednisone and prednisolone acetate are both in the class of drugs called corticosteroids. The difference between the two is their use and formulation. Prednisolone acetate is used for treating inflammation of the eyes and comes in the form of eye drops. Apo-prednisone works throughout the whole body to treat a variety of inflammatory reactions or diseases and comes in a tablet form.
