What is an mri?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Magnetic Reasonance: MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging. It uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to make pictures of organs and structures inside the body. unlike X-ray or CT, there is no ionizing radiation with an MRI. MRI gives different information about structures in the body than can be seen with an X-ray, ultrasound, or CT scan.
