Driving: Not a disease, but alcohol is a drug that reduces reaction time and mental awareness. Personal and/or family history of alcohol dependence is a disease, but does not prevent drinking. There are many other conditions that should discourage alcohol use including concurrent use of many medications and over the counter products. If you drink drink responsibly. If in doubt don't drink at all
