What could cause an elderly lady to go to the bathroom every few minutes?

First R/O infection: This could be age related changes but one needs to rule out urine infection esp if this is a new symptom. Medications need to be reviewed because Some medications can can also cause this. As you age bladder capacity decreases and ability to postpone voiding decreases.
