Change in bowel?: How do you define "constipation?" A medical definition is bowel infrequency (less than one bowel movement every 3-4 days).There are many excellent answers on Healthtap that will assist you in improving your ease of defecation while reducing your sense of bloating & gassiness. Why do think it's SIBO anyway?

For the last three months, I've had bloating after each meal coupled with thinning stool and constipation. I had an endoscopy (normal), colonoscopy (removed 3 pollips), emptying test (normal), and so far one week on Xifaxan for SIBO, no improvement.

Diagnosed with gastritis in 2017. H.pylori negative, SIBO negative, less than social drinker, not a NSAID pill popper. What could be still be causing upper abdominal pain, like a belt being tightened. Bloating that takes my breath away. ?
