A member asked:

What can cause pain when i urinate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

UTI/inflammation: Painful urination is usually associated with something causing significant bladder irritation, most likely infectious in nature. More rarely, bladder spasms can also cause pain. Cancerous growths within the lining of the bladder may cause blood to appear but actually may not cause much pain or burning (dysuria). If pain with voiding continues, see a doctor and get your urine tested.
