Survival renal Dx: This depends on the rate of decline of renal function. If you plot on x axis time in months and y axis 1/Creatinine and draw a line on this trend you can get a prediction on how long before your kidneys will fail and you will need dialysis. Be certain team has excluded reversible causes of your problem.

Difficult to: predict because it depends on the type and severity of the renal disease, the rate of progression, and the effectiveness of medical treatment. It may have no effect on longevity. Even with severe or complete renal failure, patients can survive with dialysis.
