Great surgeon: 'Great surgeon' depends on what you call great. If you have access to a surgeons' outcomes and know the acuity of the surgeons patients, you could get an idea of successful outcomes. This doesn't always make someone 'great'. There are famous surgeons who aren't that good operators but are very creative. There are relative unknowns who have great surgical results.
