Cannot recommend...: With the right instruments, an IUD is generally simple to get out by pulling on the string. However, its best to have a medical professional remove it because things can go wrong. The string can break or the IUD sometimes is embedded and won't come out. Using unsterilized instruments at home can cause trauma or infection. Best wishes!
