It can be : Irregular bleeding is common for up to 6 months after the insertion of Mirena (levonorgestrel). However, bleeding after intercourse can also be a symptom of abnormal cells on the cervix or cervicitis. Your PCP or GYN can check for both of these with an exam. Hope this helps.
