Not a good idea...: Most Obs won't induce labor until at least 39 weeks. This is because babies do best when they are allowed to mature in utero. Even at 38 weeks an occasional baby is born that needs to be in the NICU due to breathing difficulties. If you want to go into labor, I would discuss this with you Ob. There are a lot of ideas on the internet about how to start contractions but some can be harmful.
