Ask 4 clarification: This is term that is rarely used but can be used to signify an area of there uterine myometrium that is contracting while the rest of the uterus is soft. It has no known clinical significance and is not a commonly used term. I would ask the doctor who mentioned this sonographic finding to explain what was meant and to clarify for you if any intervention was needed.
