STI: I don't see why there could be a connection between medications for bipolar disorder and vaginal infections. Most of the time vaginal swabs are done to detect gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomonas, and bacterial vaginosis, which are sexually transmitted infections, or candida vaginitis.
