A member asked:

I've suffered with bad vaginal itch for years. gyn and dermatologist haven't helped. they're just as confused. many steroid creams and shots. no he?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Severe itch: When I hear of a patient with severe vaginal itching, the diagnosis of lichen sclerosus comes to mind. Usually a dermatologist or gynecologist is able to diagnose this disorder after visually inspecting the vulva. Clobetasol ointment is usually quite effective in relieving the itch as well as treating the pathology. Consider getting a second opinion from a dermatologist.
