No one size fits all: Answer. You should ideally not skip doses at all. But to be honest, for many persons, their diagnosis of hypothyroidism wasn't because of a myxedema coma the most severe presentation of hypothyroidism. It is often diagnosed in the setting of mild symptoms. So again, while I don't condone skipping doses, many patients can go for weeks to months without serious issues .. I wouldn't risk it though

Hypothyroidism : Hypothyroidism really requires regular thyroid hormone replacement. Doses should be predictable and uninterrupted. If you miss doses, even weeks at a time, you'll be hypothyroid overall.
