They are also supposed to include a special comb to help strip the eggs off the hair. Please carefully read the package instructions or speak to your pharmacist when using one of these kits.

Lice comb/vinegar: Many find pre-treatment of the hair with vinegar will loosen the glue like attachment of the nits to the hair.A fine tooth comb can then be used to remove the nits. Several treatments may be necessary.
