Hematoma: It is either a hematoma or a mucocele. A hematoma occurs when you damage a small vein and it leaks into the surrounding tissue. A mucocele occurs whe a duct to a small mucous gland is damaged and leaked mucous into the surrounding tissue . If it doesnt do away, it can be removed surgically in a very simple procedure

See your PCP or DDS: Most mouth ulcers will clear up by themselves within a week or two. You should see your GP or dentist if the ulcer gets worse or lasts for longer than 2 weeks.
