A member asked:

My rbc is 4.09 and my rdw is 11.6. is this bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: It's mild anemia (mild decrease in RBCS), with good production of new RBCS (mild increase in RDW). Mild anemia is common in young women who are menstruating. Eat foods with good iron content (red meat, poultry, fish, green vegetables (especially spinach), and beans.
