See dentist: Really need to see a dentist/oral surgeon. Sometimes people will burn the soft palate with hot foods/drinks, but this sounds like some sort of infection that needs immediate attention

Mucocele possibly: This is probably a mucocele. It is caused when the duct to a minor salivary gland gets clogged or traumatized and the saliva backs up forming a fluid filled bump. Most common on the lower lip but can occur elsewhere in the mouth including the palate. Small ones can resolve on their own. Large ones (seen here on lip) require surgical removal by and oral surgeon. To be sure see oral surgeon for exam

See a dentist: Some conditions may require further assessment, tests and your PCP may book a follow-up appointment or refer you to a specialist to determine a diagnosis. Take care.
