A member asked:

My daughter got her finger caught in a folding chair and somehow a pebble or some roundish thing embedded into her nail. i can't get it out...help!

Nail: If it is just embedded in the nail itself but doesn't involve skin, then file smooth with Emory board so it doesn't snag on anything (can also apply thick nail polish to cover or use bandage). No risk there. If stuck under the nail or into skin, needs to be removed. Soak in warm soapy water. Small tweezers or sewing needle can lift pebble up but make sure cleaned with alcohol.
