Narcotics: "Boost" here means an overall increase in pain relief through a synergistic effect of narcotics plus NSAIDS. They have different mechanisms of action. It doesn't mean that it "boosts" the narcotic mechanism of action. Loperamide IS a narcotic drug. Cimetidine is not a narc and is fine.
