Depends: Many times Lupus activity, would be gauged by patient complaints, physical exam findings, and labs. I would need to know what area of the body you are getting the MRI of? MRI has certain roles in lupus such as those with possible brain, abdomen, or lung involvement.

Had lower back pain since 2018, I have done MRI's, Physical Therapy, EMG, etc. All normal. ANA was tested to rule out Lupus, the ratio came back borderline, ~6 months later with the worse pain, my test is negative. Why? Could it still be Autoimmune?
My temp after i get to work is 99.1-99.4 . Evening and over night normal. I am ANA +1:640 spec pattern. High sed rate. Cbc ok. Metabolic ok. Serum protein ok. Lupus panel neg. Up back pain 1yr. Mri ok?
