What are some medication for asthma if symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) isn't working?

Several: such as leukotriene modifier and Xolair. Occasionally theophylline may be helpful and alternate-day prednisone may need to be added. Anti-cholinergic has had a revival recently for bronchodilation. There are newer biologic products in the pipeline which may help.

Taking symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) as only med for asthma. Dont need to use everyday. Only few times a week. Not symptoms everyday. Change to another kind of med?
