Seek examination: It is possible that you have either a nerve injury to the muscles of your shoulder or you could have an injury to the tendon and the dent is a result of atrophy of the muscle from lack of use. I would recommend a visit with your local orthopedic surgeon for evaluation, examination and possible imaging if necessary.
