A 34-year-old member asked:

is it ok to cut the androderm (testosterone) patch and use the left over gel?

No. Don't cut patch!: Most patches are not designed to be cut (lidoderm is an exception). As this may affect its efficacy. From the www.Androderm.Com website: "do not use an androderm® patch if the pouch seal is broken or the patch is cut, damaged, or changed in any way. Throw it away and get a new one." if you're not satisfied w/your response to your current dose, talk to your doc & get your levels checked.

Release or Suppress?: To begin, here this the biochemical pathyway that involves dhea: http://sproutsavvy.Com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/major-sex-hormone-pathways-diagram-_2_.Jpg there is much debate as to what happens to the pathway above when we introduce precursors like pregnenolone and dhea to the body. Is there feedback inhibition? Is there downstream augmentation? More research is needed.

How can you help pain and cut up gums from braces?

2 doctor answers2 doctors weighed in
Dr. David Hardin
Wound care 36 years experience
Gums or inside lips?: Most hardware won't cut gums, a few rarely used attachments might. If gums are cut check with orthodontist. You might have gingivitis instead. A few rare proceedures require an incision which heals quickly. If cheeks& gums cut cover sharp area with wax and check if it can't be covered or if the area doesn't heal quickly check with orthodontist.
