Eczema not fungal: Daktarin is an antifungal cream and if the condition is fungal, it should be used consistently for 3 weeks or it is common to return. The lesion sounds more like a patch of eczema or fixed drug reaction and may respond better to topical hydrocortisone cream applied several times a day. Hydrocortisone cream 1% should be available OTC.
