Get recheked: chronic prostatitis can change and amoxicillin is not always the drug of choice- please get rechecked and have prostatic flud cultured.

Prostatitis: You need to make sure your prescription is not expired and that you have enough for the full treatment. The adult dose of Amoxicillin is 875mg twice daily for at least 10 days. However, when treating prostatitis you may need antibiotics for a full month. Make sure you follow up with your doctor. Good Luck

Go see ur family doc: Rather than self-medicate w/old, potentially expired antibiotics, go see your family doc or urologist who can exam you, make correct diagnosis, and if warranted, prescribe appropriate antibiotic (not Amoxicillin).
